A lot of you are probably wondering why I am calling myself "The Old Fart" and have a Homepage called "Welcome to Old Fart Productions" (See link under My Other Blogs and Goodies).

When I started in the field as a 35mm Film Projectionist some of the concession staff {at the last Cinema I worked in } weren't even born yet. In fact back in 2003 I was the oldest member of the staff at the age of 43. In true Ernest Hemingway form, instead of being "The Old Man and the Sea", I became "The Old Fart of the Theatre" to quote one Manager..

And as they say "The Rest Is History"
"Quotes"

"He shall have dominion also from sea to sea, and from the river unto the ends of the earth." Psalm 72:8

"I am a Canadian, free to speak without fear, free to worship in my own way, free to stand for what I think right, free to oppose what I believe wrong, or free to choose those who shall govern my country. This heritage of freedom I pledge to uphold for myself and all mankind" ~ John George Diefenbaker.

"As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is
not to utter words, but to live by them" ~ John Fitzgerald Kennedy

The Close Up Game #1

Well actually this is game #2, but who's counting.

Object of the game is to guess what I took a close up of. Todays Close Up Picture was taken today (This is a Hint folks), as well as this is "On A Street Where You (actually I) Live.

You have 24 hours to guess what it is, and tomorrow night when I get home I'll post the actual picture with an explanation of what it is.

There were some good guesses last week with Quilly coming the closest.

Leave your guess in the comments, you can play more than once if you want.

Good Luck

As per usual, there is no prize for the correct or best guess, but you will have the satisfaction on playing a harmless game.

Now it is time to visit some blogs, watch my Dirty Harry movie "Magnum Force" whilst supper cooks, then think about retiring for the night.

Thank you Lord for the good day, and safe drive. Please watch after my family and friends.

Into Paradise......................May the Angels lead you.

God Bless

It is the display on the bus that tells folks where the rig is bound, yes? And right now it just happens to be showing part of your address?

Michele 05 July, 2009 06:48

Sounds as if quilly is right... it's what I would have said.

If you wanted to go one step further... (which I'm sure you don't want to) but is that 16th Street North also known as the Trans Canada Highway?
So if you live here in Canada, it is the road that will link all the provinces together and it is "On A Street Where You (actually I) Live"
Hehehehe....
Yeh, I'm sleep deprived... =)

Have a good day, Bill!

Looks like one of the signs that tells you which roads are going to have closures and what not as your driving along them. When you see it you go .. oh... right... then cry cause it is right infront of where you have to go.

Melli 05 July, 2009 14:53

I would say it is the final destination of the #19 running one way or another. The destination will change when it gets to the other end and turns around. Right?

Thom 05 July, 2009 15:01

The Destination sign? LOL. please of please let that be right LOL. Hope you had a happy 4th. Aloha I'm going to enjoy these :)

Carleen 05 July, 2009 15:04

I'm guessing that it's the pegboard sign on the front of the bus that indicates its destination. In other words, my guess is the same as Thom's, Melli's, Quilly's, and Michele's, LOL!

Dr.John 05 July, 2009 15:28

And here I thought it was a restaurant sign. I never get anything right.

Nessa 05 July, 2009 16:42

I'm thinking it's an overhead road sign on the freeway.

Peter (Worldman): 05 July, 2009 18:01

I am sure it tells the people where they will be going to when they hop on your bus.

About This Blog

Just a few rantings from a 'Mid Life' Late 40's something "Old Fart". What you will be reading here will not change the world, or have any profound effect on anyone or anything.
